Frozen Synapse

Good concept, subpar execution. The UI seems to be working against you at every turn, and although it lets you make tactical decisions at a granular level, it feels rather clunky. I realise it was innovative when it came out, but there are plenty of better options on the market.

Pretty revolutionary when it came out and very fun. Unfortunately it has lost a lot of the magic over the years and is quite outdated now.

This tactical turn based combat simulator lets you command a squad's every move. Satisfying to predict your opponent's move and have a rocket waiting...

Great idea, poor execution.
