XCOM 2

I love this game so much, its now an annual ritual for me to give it a playthrough.

Ah, so this is what everybody's been trying to copy for 10 years. Apparently War of the Chosen is the full game, base game is the same campaign with less content. Plays great on Steam Deck.

If you like squad tactics games, this is the newest title in the game series that pretty much started it all, with light base building / tech tree in this newest one. I prefer the original x-com / ufo game, but this modern take is good too.

If you're looking for a great tactical game then I very much recommend this one, it scratches such a specific itch that very few other games scratch and I really like how you get attached to your characters. It is a great game that doesn't even need a review. Just a 3 min scroll through the negatives will show you most of them are for the 2K launcher that was already removed ages ago. if you are here chance is you want to buy it or already played it.

Ive owned this title since it came out. It really sucks multiplayer is dead(at least from the in game matchmaking). But this is one of the best strategy games of all time. So many tech paths and variables to the gameplay. This game has crazy replayablitiy. I recommend if you like turn based games
