Maybe it gets better later on as some other reviewers said. Unfortunately I didn't want to risk losing out on the refund window, but the start just felt so dang slow. The rhythm mechanic was fun and unique, but the actual strategy layer didn't feel very strong and most of the trinkets felt like they made no impact.
I do like the game but it needs a important fix.. The control scheme keeps swapping between Xbox and playstation controllers. Its rather disruptive leading to me pressing the wrong button in rythm.
. Might come back to give another try, but honestly, bad first impression. Like the idea with rhythm combat, hate the grid phase of it. The biggest offender is being slow-paced, expected to have longer rhythmic "blasting" sections rather than "once in a while" short attacks. Most of the time is spent in animations,…
Fun rhythm game. Good music. I has a successful run on my 2nd attempt so I'm hoping things scale on consecutive runs. I feel like there should be more than 1 character than can use ranged (not magic) rhythm chains. Good value at $20 though!
seems neat but on ultra wide you cant see the characters and some of the UI. Needs some work.
