bought this because I'm a huge fan of KC Green from very ancient times (horribleville, graveyard quest, LAIDAD, etc) and wanted to throw him some walking around money. its not TERRIBLE but- to put it in the nicest way possible- they basically remade Castlevania II: Simon's Quest but with a cartoon dog

I think this game has a really funny premise, and I want to like it, but it hasn't got the polish needed to be a top-tier metroidvania. The fact that your healing items don't replenish at save points and have to be separately purchased, the slippery movement that continues too long after you let go of the direction…

I'm surprised that a "meme" gained such status that it's now a game. I enjoy this game, but it does have it's challenges. Such as the statue challenges. Anyway I'd still recommend this game, if you like hand-drawn sprites, dealing with anxiety, old-school platformers, then this is one of many games that you can play…
