Amazing, a masterpiece of atmosphere and immersive stealth. It's crazy to see while playing how this game laid the foundations for mechanics that are used in dozens of games today. Yeah, sure, it has its ups and downs. Some missions are legendary, some are quite forgettable. But on the whole, it's a must play classic.

I finally matured enough to competently play this and beat it and I can say that this game is freaking incredible genuinely some of the best dark fantasy atmosphere i've ever seen and the unsettling level design is so good

There are good stealth games and there are great stealth games. Thief is what those games aspire to be.
