golden classic. quake but fun. doom but funny. duke nuke nukem but good. one of the first games I ever played and I stil come back to mow down the hordes of mentals army. 11/10 timeless classic.

Genuinely feels like the game was made just to do the things Doom and Quake couldn't: fancy lighting, large open environments, bump maps, specular highlights, etc. It's a graphics engine tech demo where gameplay comes third. It's a slog through levels that were meant to look good, not play good.

A fine central hub to keep all classic Serious Sam games in one place without switching between titles.
