Playing this as a continuation of the first game is honestly a once in a generation RPG experience in my opinion. This game deserves the highest praise.

Really fun game. Reminds me of the good old days when Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 were released. It's fun building a character blindly, with no hints online, and seeing how it all plays out. I'd love to see a Pillars of Eternity 3.

It's okay. Deadfire ultimately does not hit for me the way the first game did, and I think that's not an uncommon sentiment. The companions feel half-baked as does their connection to you. Amazing game with so much content, especially if you get all the DLC which are all really good. Highly recommend!
