A super basic story but with really solid gameplay. Destiny meets Gears of War. A ton of customization, just not too much end game content (unless you like running the same dungeon over and over). Get a friend and go shoot stuff, pretty enjoyable.

I wasn't here for the situation in the past. But coming to it as a new player, the game is pretty great. I play solo only too.

The story I've seen so far is kinda interesting and gameplay is fun, but I can't recommend an always-online game where you can play solo and lose loot because matchmaking servers decide to die for a minute and you get kicked to main menu.
