I sacrificed all my friends to tame a trex. I was so happy I finally got one. However, moments later he got ganked by an alpha raptor. I cried. I then recruited a team of 20, 20 feet long alligators to absolutely maul the alpha raptor. That revenge gave me more dopamine then beating my ♥♥♥♥ does. 10/10 game.
I guess I am choosing would recommend based on the fact that here I am, playing it again, for the umpteenth time, after 11 years. There is no other game like it. There is a caveat to that, in that there are plenty of bugs, you lose things, time and dinos to a variety of crazy things that are unbelievably frustrating.
The game is playable. It runs 58-60fps on SteamDeck on mid-low setting, and runs 30-35fps on high-epic setting.
